By Sandy Rustin
In a quaint cottage in the English countryside, Sylvia and Beau awaken after their annual clandestine rendezvous. The idyllic mood shatters when Sylvia reveals a bold decision: she has sent telegrams to both of their spouses exposing their affair in hopes of clearing a path to a future together. But when Beau’s (pregnant) wife and Sylvia’s husband Clarke (Beau’s brother) arrive and reveal their own secrets, it is immediately clear that Sylvia’s imagined happy ending may not be as certain as she thought. And that’s before more unexpected visitors arrive! With a tip of the hat to Noel Coward, The Cottage is brimming with endless laughs, hilarious twists, and daring physical comedy.
